child toys 04 by Editorial Zone

Every parent wants to get their children toys, but few parents put enough thought into what toys are appropriate for their children. You see, there are probably millions of childs toys. Every child toys different from all of the others, and some of them may not be sending the right message to kids. My parents always hated getting us child war toys. Although eventually they gave in a little bit, allowing me to have a toy gun and my brother to have army men, they would insist that most of our childrens toys were educational and nonviolent in content.
At the time, I thought their attitude about child toys was a drag. All of my friends got to play with whatever they liked. They could get Transformers, cap guns, video games ? the works. By contrast, I couldn't even play video games. I had to use child educational toys all the time. In retrospect, however, I am glad that my parents made the child toy decisions that they did. Not only did I love many of my educational toys, but I think growing up with them made me smarter. I learned a love of puzzles, problem solving, and thinking. Although simple games of imagination are great, child toys that stimulate you to take another step and learn how to think are even better.
Best of all, Because most of my child toys were nonviolent, I learned not to deal with my aggression in an unhealthy way. Rather than playing war, I played at make-believe or crime solving. Most children learn to focus a lot of their attention on issues of aggression, but I learned to divert my hostility into more productive channels. Some people believe that child toys don't make that much of a difference, but I am quite sure that they did in my case. I intend to make the same decisions for my own children.
I have always tried to buy the best, most constructive toys for children whenever I have to give one as a gift. When I buy my own child toys, it will be hard not to spoil him or her rotten. I have already amassed a considerable collection of child's toys, and I probably will get more before the baby is born. I can only hope that he appreciates the child toys and knows what a great thing it is to be able to afford nice playthings.
