Mrs. Fields is a name that makes me salivate just hearing. For as long as I can recall, Ive enjoyed Mrs. Fields cookies, and have a hard time resisting those wafting aromas whenever Im near one of their stores in a mall or elsewhere. Like a sirens call, it is normally beyond my will power to avoid buying at least two or three cookies and consuming them as soon as possible.
Mrs. Fields recipes are famous, and their stores can be found all over the United States. Most shopping malls will have one, and they are often found anyplace else where people go shopping regularly, such as plazas, squares, and arcades. I have a strong associated with Mrs. Fields and shopping for this reason. As a typical guy, I cant stand shopping (unless its for electronics, computers, or tools of course) so a Mrs. Fields store to me is like a little oasis. I can sit down and have a cookie while whomever Im dating at the time runs around doing her thing. During those rare days where Im actually shopping for clothes for myself, their stores also serve as a great place to take a break.
Like most businesses today, Mrs. Fields has entered the 21st century and has developed a number of online functions in addition to their store franchises. You can order any variety of cookies you can imagine and have them sent directly to you. Likewise, if you know someone that has a thing for Mrs. Fields cookies, they make a decent gift. Not the most personal gift, but a batch of cookies is a great way to say thanks, or to wish a happy birthday to someone you maybe recently met or dont know that well. A gift order from Mrs. Fields also is a nice way to round out a series of gifts to people that are closer to you. Their online store also has a number of additional things, such as gift baskets, candies and recipe books you can buy.
Speaking of recipes, there are also a number of Mrs. Fields recipes going around on the internet. Im not really sure if any of these recipes are the actual ones used in Mrs. Fields stores, but Ive tried a couple and they are not bad. Cookies are easy to make, and with only a little effort and a minimal amount of baking knowledge you can whip up a delicious snack in your own home. The best thing about making them yourself is your whole house or apartment will smell like a Mrs. Fields store for days.
