Photo Printers
When I was in the store the other day getting my film developed, I noticed that there were quite a few photo printers on sale. These are items that I never looked at because I was sure they were far out of my price range. Though I probably could have bought one, it was an item that was very far down on my wish list. However, I was excited to see that some very nice printers were on sale for around one hundred dollars. Even though I did not want to buy one right then, I was excited to see that they were not as expensive as I thought they were.
Even though you can print photos on a regular printer, photo printers are made specifically for that purpose and that purpose only. If you buy a package of eight by ten photo sheets, you can print two or three photos out at a time on your desktop printer. If you buy photo printers however, they will print out one at a time, and there will be no cutting required. The ones I looked at the other day printed out four by six prints and was much smaller in size than my regular printer.
The only downfall I can see about photo printers might be that they would go through ink very fast. I guess this makes a lot of sense, since it takes a lot of ink to print out high-quality photographs. In the end though, I can see where having photo printers and your home with save you a lot of money as compared to getting them printed out somewhere else. They may not be a good idea if you don?t print out a lot of photos, but even for the average photographer will think it is a good investment.
As with anything else, some photo printers are better than others. You can look at the models in the store, or you can look online to see what various companies have to offer. The photo printers will cost more than others, but you may have good luck with a mid-priced model. It all depends what you want to use your photo printers for. Look for one with a lot of features, and perhaps one that has a great warranty. I know my regular printers are quite temperamental, so it makes sense that photo printers might be a bit touchy as well.
