criminal charge 03 by Editorial Zone

The law can be tricky. The last thing any of us want is to find ourselves on the wrong end of the judicial system. This, I'm sure, and be a major bummer. When was the last time you had a criminal charge brought against you? I can gladly say that I've never dealt with anything but a speeding ticket. Now if you've never even gotten one of these nasty little slips of paper, then you're sitting pretty. One thing I can't figure out though is why our judicial system is so lenient in some regards. For example, there should never be murderers let out after measly five year sentences. This is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable. We seriously need to re-evaluate our current prison space and priorities regarding felons. Dangerous criminals should not be released simply due to lack of prison space. Okay, I had to toss in my two cents.

When it comes to a criminal charge, my household has had a close-up and personal experience. Now, just for the record, I'm definitely not in the least bit proud to say this. My eldest daughter is to blame. She went to Florida for a week to visit her friend and for some reason they thought they would steal liquor. So this is how it went; they broke into the clubhouse of a community, stole several bottles of liquor, and then got caught. NICE! Not too bright if you ask me. Then again, no one asked me before these events took place. At this point I think they wish they would have. It was criminal charge time. My daughter and her friends were hauled into court and brought up on charges of breaking and entering, burglary, and possession while underage. This was disappointing and probably one of the worst days of my life. She seriously lucked out with community service and a slap on the wrist. We were very fortunate indeed. When I first heard the words "criminal charge" I was sweating bullets.

It's important to learn more about the judicial system and how it may affect you. Get online and see what each and every criminal charge can lead to. There are typically worst possible scenarios and most lenient actions. Much depends on your judge. Therefore if you are afflicted with a criminal charge of some sort, you'd better hope that the judge is in a good mood.
